St. Albans School, an all-boys college preparatory school seeks a professional Assistant Aquatics Director to help facilitate the St. Albans School Aquatics Program. St. Albans Aquatics offers programs to the surrounding community such as lap swimming and a swim lesson program, as well as an interscholastic swim team for the students. This multifaceted role involves teaching and coaching on the Interscholastic Swim Team staff. This position is an integral piece to producing a rewarding educational experience for all swimmers, and ensuring that the overall aquatics program is aligned with the School's mission.
Assist Aquatics Director
Plan, prepare and conduct class sessions, or team practices, in accordance with the curriculum and supporting the philosophy and direction set by the Head Coach Prepare swimmers to participate in swim meets and attending them as scheduled by the Head Coach

Teach proper stroke technique and develop structured workouts
Coach practice groups as directed by the Head Coach
Communicate well with staff, parents, and swimmers.
Assist with year-round pool rentals, and other unique events at the Lawrence Pool.
Follow all safety and emergency procedures as outlined in the St. Albans Emergency Plan.
Provide supportive leadership for St. Albans Aquatic program staff.
Provide administrative support for the Learn to Swim Program and the Interscholastic Swim teams.

Previous professional experience with an aquatics program
Lifeguard Training (American Red Cross)
CPR (American Red Cross)
First Aid (American Red Cross)
AED Training (American Red Cross)
Certified Pool Operator License (within 3 months of hire)
Previous swim meet management experience
Familiarity with and operation of Hy-Tek Meet Manager and Team Manager
A genuine love for teaching and coaching children of varying age groups
the ability to coach multiple sports. A minimum of 4 seasons of coaching will be required - one in the fall, two during the winter, and one in the spring.
Ability to relate to staff and members
Previous experience with leading a swim lesson program a plus.
