Assists with the general maintenance operations of the Aquatic Center, which consists of an indoor natatorium with 3 pools and locker rooms, as well as an outdoor 50-meter pool. Assists the Certified Pool Operator with preventative and routine maintenance and repairs. Work is performed under the general supervision and direction of the Aquatics Manager and Aquatics Program Coordinator.
Assists with monitoring pool water chemistry and keeping the pool shells and decks clean. Maintains walkways, locker rooms, restrooms and storage areas to remove trip or slip hazards. Light custodial duties are included.
Regularly inspects, inventories and maintains pool equipment such as ladders, lifts, lane lines and reels, pool covers and reels, water polo goals, electronic timing system, diving blocks, bleachers, pool equipment carts, and various other pool equipment. Some repairs may be performed.
Assists lifeguard staff with switching pool equipment configurations to accommodate a wide variety of competitive team and recreational activities.
Assists with special event setups and cleanups.
Works closely with CPO, Aquatics Program Coordinator, and Aquatic Manager to prioritize necessary tasks. Communicates timeline, progress and task completion.
Perform other job-related duties or tasks as required.
This position includes evening and weekend shifts.
Operate and use required tools and equipment skillfully and safely.

Use computer software programs to track job tasks and record completions.
